Business Overview

KASIKORNBANK PCL (KBank) conducts commercial banking, securities and other related businesses per the Financial Institutions Business Act, Securities and Exchange Act and other regulations. KBank primarily provides financial services via an extensive branch network nationwide. As of 30 June 2023, KBank service coverage remains available in all locales and is adequate to meet our customers? requirements. Currently, KBank has 816 branches and 10,967 self-service channels to help customers conduct transactions on their own. In addition, the Bank?s international network now includes 16 establishments in 8 countries, with operations and services centralized at the Head Office.

  • KBank is determined to become an ESG leader among banks in Southeast Asia. In the latest development, KBank has been selected for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices for the seventh consecutive year, KBank earned the CDP A List (Leadership Level) from the Carbon Disclosure Project 2022, making it the first and only bank in Thailand and Southeast Asia to achieve this rating, while also being included as a member of the 2023 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index for the fifth consecutive year – the first and only bank in Thailand.
  • Our key strategic imperatives are dominate digital payment across all digital platforms, reimagine commercial and consumer lending on digital channels, democratize investment and insurance, targeting previously inaccessible groups via digital channels,  penetrate regional market in accordance with our Asset-Light Digital Banking Strategy and strengthen harmonized sales and service channel experience.
Performance and Analysis
Business Performance Summary

For the first half of 2023, KBank and its subsidiaries reported net profit of Baht 21,735 million, a decrease of Baht 270 million or 1.22 percent compared to the same period of last year. The decrease could be attributed to expected credit loss amounting to Baht 25,476 million, an increase of Baht 6,288 million or 32.77 percent. Our net interest margin stood at 3.54%. Capital adequacy ratio (CAR) according to the Basel III Accord was 19.01%, greater than the Bank of Thailand’s requirement. read more

Key Milestones
  • K PLUS mobile banking has over 21 million users which is the highest number of users in Thailand and has been accepted by consumers and users. K PLUS was received the first popular prize from the Thailand's Most Admired Brand 2023 which organized by BrandAge.
  • KBank was granted the State Bank of Vietnam’s approval for capital increase, from Baht 2.7 billion to Baht 9.6 billion. This move will fortify its capabilities to offer comprehensive services in a Transactional Ecosystem, while also enhancing its IT structure in support of Vietnam’s business and the general public in access to a funding source.
  • To establish NGERN HAI JAI COMPANY LIMITED as a wholly-owned subsidiary of KASIKORN INVESTURE COMPANY LIMITED. The objective of this company is to operate business related to auto title loan with a personal loan business license under the supervision of the Bank of Thailand, auto title loan (car as collateral) and hire purchase loan for used car.
  • To establish KAPTURE ONE COMPABY LIMITED, 70% shares held by KASIKORN INVESTURE COMPANY LIMITED, whereas 30% shares owned by BUZZEBEES COMPANY LIMITED. The objective of this company is to operate business related to Loyalty Program, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Solution Platform, e-Marketplace Management, and Other Businesses (Reward Inventory Provider).
